International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

Rhonda Carroll

I have been teaching with International Schools Consortium since April 2009. Prior to that I taught at an international school in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. My previous teaching experience includes William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA where I taught Social Cultural Foundations of Education and Psychological Foundations of Education in the Teacher Credentialing Program. My family lives between California and Texas. I am the third of five siblings. I like to read and write, and have authored several books. I also like to write and record music. I believe that these creative elements in my personal life assist me in developing creative teaching practices. My experience with the iSC family has been excellent and I anticipate more exciting times with them at YHIS.
