International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

Although I have a Bachelor degree in Biology, I worked as a qualified meteorologist that needed in-depth knowledge in mathematics and physics. In addition, I published two meteorology workbooks and translated one meteorology textbook as one of the joint translators. I believe that ‘Life’ is full of patterns. However, patterns are intricate to catch. Getting patterns is an enduring change in behavior which results from practice and other forms of experience in ‘your life.’ Math is the same. Students need to find and learn the patterns in the real world with a mathematical perspective.
