Parent Chinese Class
To foster connections among our parents and support those interested in learning Chinese, we are excited to offer a Chinese class for parents who are complete beginners. This 10-week class will be taught by Mrs. Wendy Xu, a professionally certified Chinese language teacher with years of teaching experience. The class will use HSK Standard Course 1, focusing on practical, everyday Chinese conversations and providing a comfortable starting point for parents with little or no prior knowledge of Chinese.

Class Details
• Days: Mondays and Wednesdays, twice a week, from September 14 to November 25, excluding holidays
• Time: 2:35–3:20 pm
• Location: Room 307
• Class Size: Maximum of 15 participants
• Material: HSK Standard Course 1 textbook + workbook (available for purchase for 107 RMB) Ms. Xu will place the book order for everyone. Parents can reimburse her afterward.

As space is limited to 15 participants, please sign up by completing the registration form by Wednesday, September 9.

Once registration closes, participants will be selected by random draw. Those selected will be invited to join a WeChat group, where further information about the class will be shared.

Parent Workshop: Screen Smart – Helping Your Child Build Healthy Technology Habits
Technology is an important part of our children’s daily lives, but finding a healthy balance can be challenging. From screen time and online entertainment to social media and digital learning, children are constantly navigating a digital world. Helping children develop healthy technology habits can support their well-being, focus, and relationships.

We are excited to invite you to a special parent workshop on Tuesday, September 15, from 9:45–10:30 am, in room 107. The workshop will be led by our LifePlus Director of Odyssey, Melissa McCutchan. The LifePlus Odyssey team is a group of staff committed to fostering the social and emotional growth of LifePlus students by regularly providing invaluable support to our students and staff.

Join us as we explore practical strategies for helping children develop healthy and balanced technology habits. This session will provide useful ideas for setting boundaries, encouraging mindful screen use, and supporting children in making responsible choices in the digital world.

LifePlus Principals Meeting and Curriculum Review
YHIS is excited to welcome principals from LifePlus schools and curriculum leaders to our campus next week. The school leaders will work together to strengthen teaching and learning, align and review curriculum standards, support student well-being, and develop strategies to better serve our students.

Lunch Menu Update
We are pleased to introduce a four-week rotating lunch menu. The new cycle will continue to offer students a greater variety of dishes and more choice at lunchtime. The updated four-week menu is now available to view HERE.

Uniform Tops – Two Styles Available
