Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences for ECC and Elementary parents will be held on Friday, April 19, from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Conferences for Secondary parents will take place on Thursday, April 18, from 3:40 – 6:00 pm and Friday, April 19, from 8:30-5:00 pm. A list of teachers’ room numbers can be found HERE. We hope you have a meaningful conference with your child’s teachers.

PTO Appreciation Brunch
From supporting various classroom activities to organizing school events and decorating the school, our parents have played a vital role in building this vibrant learning community. This year’s YHIS Parent Appreciation Brunch will be on Thursday, May 29, from 8:30 to 10:30 at the Marriott Hotel. We have a series of activities planned, including thank-you speeches, recognition of PTO leadership members, and a token of appreciation for our parents. The brunch will be sponsored by the school. The school would like to invite all YHIS parents to join us for a time of celebrating the school year together. Re-enrollment for Next School Year
An email with details about re-enrollment for the next school year has been sent to your email account. The re-enrollment portal on PowerSchool remains open until Wednesday, April 30. To secure your child’s seat for the 2025-2026 school year, please complete the re-enrollment process and pay the discounted tuition down payment of 5,000 RMB by Friday, May 30. Please note that the 5,000 RMB discount for the tuition down payment is applicable until May 30, thereafter, the tuition down payment will be 10,000 RMB.

Announcement from Admissions Office
As we approach the end of the second semester, we understand that some families may be repatriating to their home country. If you know that you will be leaving YHIS at the end of this semester, we kindly request that you inform us by completing Leaving Family Survey before Friday, April 25. We will then send a withdraw form home with your child. We hope to have some time to support your child through the transition process and prepare necessary documents. Please note that upon submission of the withdraw form, we will prepare the necessary documents for your child. As the semester ends on Thursday, June 12, the documents will only be available for pick up from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the admissions office on that day.

Chinese Painting Class for YHIS Moms
To foster connection within our school community, we’re excited to offer a free, 5-week Chinese painting class for YHIS mothers. This beginner-friendly course will explore traditional Chinese painting techniques, with each session focusing on a unique brush stroke, method, or color theme. The class will be taught by Ms. Wendy Xu, a licensed professional Chinese teacher who teachers Chinese to YHIS staff.

Each class includes 45 minutes of instruction followed by 10–15 minutes for cleanup. Space is limited to 10–12 participants, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested, please sign up by completing the registration form.

ECC April Spirit Day
We want to fill ECC with fun, vibrant colors – celebrating all the learning, joy and excitement in ECC! Student may wear bright colors on Wednesday, April 30. We cannot wait to see the explosion of color!

LifePlus High School Soccer Tournament
We are excited to host the LifePlus High School Soccer Tournament on Friday-Saturday, April 25-26. Four other LifePlus schools are participating in the tournament.

We will bring you a livestream of all of the soccer games. We would love to see as many people watching as possible.
