Staff Professional Development Days
LifePlus Staff Professional Development Days are scheduled for Thursday-Friday, January 29-30. The school will be closed for students, and staff will spend extended time in professional development meetings.

China Day
Chinese Spring Festival is one of the most important holidays in China. As a school, we would like to celebrate this time together. YHIS China Day will be on Friday, February 13. The Chinese Language Department is planning various engaging hands-on activities for all students. We will share more details closer to the date.

Snow Day Policy
We would like to remind parents of our snow day policy. Precautions are taken to ensure that our students and staff members have a safe commute both to and from school. We will make every effort to announce delay and closure information before 6:30 am. In making decisions, Mr. Miller will consider the weather conditions and advice from the local authorities. Delay, closure, or early dismissal notifications will be sent to parents via text message through the YHIS Notification WeChat group.

Calendar Updates
We would like to remind you of the following calendar updates. Please click HERE to view the updated calendar.

• Wednesday, January 28, previously scheduled as a half day, is now a full school day.
• The Labor Day holiday will be observed on Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1. Please note this is a change from the single day previously noted on May 1.
• ECC Family Day (formerly named Field Day) has been rescheduled for Friday, April 24.
• Secondary Creative Writing Contest has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 21.

ECC Student-Parent Cupcake Decorating Event
The ECC will be hosting a student–parent cupcake decorating event on Friday, February 6, from 1:30–3:20 pm in the 4th-floor auditorium. We look forward to welcoming parents to join their children for this special afternoon of creativity and fun.

LifePlus High School VEX Robotics Competition
YHIS is proud to host the LifePlus HS VEX Robotics Competition next Friday-Saturday on January 23-24. Students in HS Robotics class and club are participating in the competition. This will provide a good opportunity for the students to present not only their robotics skills, but also their problem-solving skills. They will showcase their “Teamwork, Controlling, and Programming Skills”. Go Sharks!

Payment for November Lock-in
Please be informed that high school Student Council has just charged students for the lock-in event that took place last semester. If your student attended the lock-in on November 21, they were charged 50 RMB from their PowerSchool lunch account on Tuesday afternoon. Please be aware of the extra charge and thank you for your understanding.

High School Spirit Day
The High School Student Council will hold a spirit day for high school students on Wednesday, January 28. Students are encouraged to participate by wearing bright, colorful sweaters. Let’s fill the campus with color and school spirit—we look forward to seeing everyone join in!
