Formal Uniform Pants
The school is working to introduce formal uniform pants. Using some of the proceeds from the PTO Christmas Market, the PTO would like to provide every student with a pair of pants.

To place an order with accurate quantities for each size, we kindly ask you to select a size based on the size chart through a simple survey. The survey is intended only to help us estimate quantities so that we can place the order before Summer Break. Students will have the opportunity to try on the pants in August before finalizing their size.

For younger students, we encourage parents to consider possible growth over the break when selecting a size.

The PTO will prepare an alternative gift for students who will be leaving the school.

PTO Leadership
PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is an integral part of YHIS. Since its establishment, the PTO has raised funds for a charity organization and school events. In addition, the PTO organizes and supports multiple events to bring together the entire YHIS community. The school is currently seeking parents who would be interested in serving as PTO leadership members for the upcoming school year. The leadership positions are:

• ECC Representative
• Elementary Representative
• Middle School Representative
• High School Representative
• Chinese Language Group Leader
• Russian Language Group Leader
• Portuguese Language Group Leader

Requirements for Office:
Candidates must have been YHIS parents for at least one year in the past and commit to at least one additional year in the future, starting from the beginning of their term.

Terms of Office:
Officers are elected for a single academic year and may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms in the same position.

PTO Appreciation Brunch
This year’s YHIS Parent Appreciation Brunch will be on Friday, June 5, from 8:30 to 10:30 at the Marriott Hotel. We have a series of activities planned, including thank-you speeches, recognition of PTO leadership members, and a token of appreciation for our parents. We look forward to seeing you there.
