New Staff Arrival
We are thrilled to welcome two new teachers to the YHIS community! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Mrs. Leeandra Rajesh and Mr. Mutemwa Simbala, who are joining our team this year. PTO Leadership Member Announcement
It is our pleasure to announce our PTO Leadership members for the 2026-2027 school year. The school is looking forward to working together to serve our school community.

Mr. Miller will hold a monthly meeting with the PTO Leadership team to address parent concerns and feedback. The PTO members will assist in gathering input from families to bring forward for discussion.

For personal matters or grade-specific issues, please reach out directly to your child's classroom teacher or parent liaisons. To make the most of our PTO meetings, we kindly request that agenda items center on concerns or suggestions shared by multiple parents, as well as topics that impact a division or the broader school community.

Library Resources

K & Elementary MAP Testing Schedule
The MAP test gives YHIS important data about each student, so it is important that every student take their time and put forth their best effort. Please encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast and get 8-9 hours of sleep before taking the MAP Tests.

MS & HS Student Council Retreats
Elected HS Student Council officers will join for a retreat to plan events and participate in team-building activities. The retreat will be a one-day event on Friday, September 4. Permission forms with a detailed schedule will be distributed to the officers this week. Please contact Dr. Diana Holden at diana.holden@yhischina.com if you have any questions.

MS Student Council officers will hold a separate retreat on Friday–Saturday, September 4–5. The retreat will begin after school on Friday and conclude on Saturday noon, with students staying overnight at school.
