Uniform Pants Updates, Parent English Class, Report Cards

Uniform Pants Updates
A few weeks after signing a contract with our local uniform supplier, we learned that production of the uniform pants had not started. The supplier informed us that the fabric vendor had gone bankrupt, but this update came much later than expected.

As the agreed production timeline and contractual obligations have not been met, the school is now exploring alternative suppliers to ensure that the uniform pants can be produced as soon as possible.

We understand that this situation may cause inconvenience to families and students, and we appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution. Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

Parent English Class Updates
Thank you for your interest in our Parent English Classes. We received more registrations than the available spots, so participants were selected through a random draw. Those who were selected have been invited to a WeChat group, where further information will be shared.

Report Cards Available on PowerSchool
Report cards (Progress Reports for Secondary) are accessible via PowerSchool. Once you log into PowerSchool, click the “Student Reports” icon in the menu on the left.

Elementary Chinese Singing Contest
Our elementary Chinese students are busy preparing for the Chinese Singing Contest. Through music, students develop their Chinese pronunciation, become familiar with the rhythm of the language, and enjoy learning in an engaging way. As they prepare for the stage, students are also building confidence and learning to challenge themselves.

The final will take place on November 17 in the 4th-floor auditorium. We warmly invite you to join us and cheer on our young performers!

Accelerated Reader and myON for Elementary Students
Reading is fundamental to students’ development. At YHIS, we encourage students to develop a love of reading through programs such as AR (Accelerated Reader) and myON. Please refer to the parent guide to learn more about how these programs work and how they support students’ reading development.

Playground Rules
We love seeing families enjoying the courtyard after school. To help keep all students safe and ensure everyone can enjoy the playground, please help your children follow these playground rules:

  1. Bicycles, tricycles, and similar riding toys are reserved for our ECC students. Elementary students should not use them.
  2. Please return all bicycles and tricycles to their designated storage area when finished.
  3. For safety reasons, do not climb onto the roofs of the train cars.
  4. Do not climb up the outside of the large covered slide. Please use the stairs and slide as intended.

Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable play environment for all children.
